Get to Know the Team

You will be joining the senior leadership team at Grab Design and collaborating closely with the design team across all vertical product teams. The team consists of a group of veteran design leaders and on a day-to-day basis, you will also be working alongside Product, Analytics, and Engineering leaders.

As a Senior Principal Product Designer at Grab, you will partner with senior leaders to drive hero initiatives with transformative impact on the business. You will also be instrumental in redefining design vision, practice, and quality across the company.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Lead and influence at senior levels in the organization - co-creating strategy by defining what problems we work on.
  • Ensure we solve the right problems in the right way - aligning senior stakeholders on approaches that achieve the best return on investment.
  • Use constructive, data-driven arguments to successfully influence senior leadership.
  • Lead and achieve sustained improvement and efficiency in cross-functional collaboration and alignment across the organization. 
  • Organise and lead collaborative workshops that generate new business opportunities.
  • Work largely autonomously in leading discovery and delivery that significantly contributes towards the organization’s targets - acting as a force multiplier for the organization, helping all teams deliver better work.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of user behavior, market trends, and technology advancements to identify and pursue innovative opportunities for the business to achieve its goals.
  • Perform, and lead others across the organization, in designing flows and interactions for novel, complicated experiences.
  • Create compelling, distinctive new visual systems and visual languages and own quality across the organization.
  • Use advanced prototyping tools and methods to create highly detailed and sophisticated prototypes.
  • Lead and mentor senior designers in the craft and processes of design - developing training and other mentorship tools to help others improve the design practice

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

  • 9+ years of Product Design experience. 
  • Portfolio of case studies demonstrating design process, solutions, and their impact.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience working on cross-functional product teams.
  • Exceptional fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others in Product Design.
  • Excellent knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development.
  • Experience with Figma, Protopie, After Effects, or other design tooling.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Proficiency in Service Design, User Research, Front-end Development, Project Management, Accessible Design or Design Systems.

Please provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.
