JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Test Solution Engineering Senior Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team in the development, debug, and maintenance of test programs that enable the testing of High Bandwidth Memory. Your focus is on support R&D, interacting closely with global teams, as well as taking part in the designing and debugging of test hardware. In this position, you will constantly learn new device specifications and operations in order to develop efficient and innovative solutions of production test flows thru test algo optimization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in semiconductor engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the industry.
- Proven track record in technical mentorship and leadership.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with new products introduction process.
- Flexibility to work across global time zones is required.
- Exposure to working on high-volume distributed systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Lead and Direct the Team in Developing Test Plans for All Products for the Responsible Area
- Ensure inputs are gathered from PE, Fab and Assembly
- Ensure the group can demonstrate a thorough understanding of the device/part as it applies to device/part testing
- Ensure time to market requirements are supported
- Ensure all necessary Hardware is ordered as required for first silicon
- Support for Satellite HBM Test Operations as required
- Ensure that requirements for test plans are defined, including but not limited to hardware requirements, defect coverage, process flow, and test times
- Develop Test Programs for products in the given area
- Debug device issues and provide feedback to business partners
- Develop experiments with business partners to improve yield and overall part performance
- Evaluate and review Design for Test (DFT)
- Performs Cost Analysis at timely manner
- Demonstrate good understanding and application of department processes, tools and systems
Lead and Direct the Team in Delivering the Highest Quality Product to Our Customers
- Ensure all test programs, scripts, and any other software adhere to the release quality standards
- Support customer and internal audits
- Standardize methods and processes across areas, departments, and sites as appropriate
- Generate supporting data
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
Lead and Direct the Team in Implementing Solutions to Issues Related to Probe and Test Processes in a Timely Manner
- Investigate and identify root cause of equipment and process parameter shift
- Report timely feedback and propose solutions to any problems on the production floor
- Support process excursion activities including identification, containment, notification, and implementation of corrective actions
- Reduce Test Time
- Plan for Test coverage
- Review the Yield performance
- Troubleshoot Equipment Usage and Problems
- Resolve Production Floor Issues
Lead and Direct the Team in Driving Innovation to Meet Market Demand and Gain Competitive Advantage
- Drive new Design for Test (DFT) strategies
- Oversee the development of new test technologies and methodologies
- Ensure the company maintains its competitive position technically
- Maintain a high level of focus on new process technology introductions
- Drive suppliers to develop and deliver solutions that provide process improvement or new capability
- Identify patentable inventions and make timely disclosures of patentable inventions, and keep proper records of intellectual property
- Lead intra-departmental (and multi-site) teams in development of new processes and capabilities to support product roadmap
- Participate with intra-departmental (and multi-site) teams to drive, develop, and implement improvements in equipment or processes that reduce cost (e.g. reduction in scrap, rework, cycle time reduction, or increase in throughput, yield), and improve quality and reliability
- Drive process change in other departments (where applicable) to reduce test tooling, processing costs, part functionality and complexity
Perform Budget Control and Cost Analysis
- Monitor and control the budget as required
- Perform cost analysis to provide the best direction on future decisions, directions, and to direct resources on projects
Utilize Performance Management to develop team members
Provide the environment for a highly motivated Team
- Perform yearly evaluations
- Perform salary reviews
- Create team members development plan
- Perform quarterly headcount planning
Comply to EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, Security) standards
- Observe all established EHSS policies, requirements and procedures
- Follow EHSS guidelines included in work instructions
- Report conditions or behaviors that are contrary to EHSS policies or procedures
- Cooperate and support with all audits
