Job Description

Role Description

This position reports to the Head of Business Planning and Strategic Initiatives, a team responsible for business analytics and advancing strategic projects.

This leader will be responsible for charting the market’s ecosystem development initiatives while ensuring a cohesive and reportable approach to drive our market’s strategic priorities. You will need to be able to work comfortably with ambiguity, uncovering insights, to determine areas of opportunities to own and develop further. You have the ability to synthesise insights, trends, and initiatives to drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure execution runs smoothly.

This is a role with high visibility as the role will interact with customers while representing the market by collaborating with a variety of cross-functional partners, such as Product, Marketing, Client, Commercial Money Movement, and internal organisation engagement to ensure success.

Market Development Topics may change over time, but examples of initiatives include:

Ecosystem partnerships and new business development: Strengthen the payments ecosystem with key partners. Engage merchants and non-bank entities to drive Visa adoption and preference and create new commercial opportunities from concept to launch.

Go-to-market innovation: Work with Product, Sales, and Marketing to test and scale new solutions, using Singapore’s position as a regional innovation hub.

New business development: Collaborate with regional and global teams to activate new market relevant growth opportunities

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably with payments and digital commerce background, strategic planning, project management, financial analysis and forecasting, sales or marketing, ideally from within a complex management or sales driven organisation
  • Proven track record of delivering high impact outcomes working on projects in the areas growth initiatives, partnership development and marketing
  • Broad knowledge of payments industry, its products, services and technologies. Experience in pre-sales and commercialisation will be valued.
  • Strong management skills, with an eye for detail, appropriate to a fast-paced business environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build credibility, and negotiate at the highest levels within international organisations.
