JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Reporting Platforms is responsible for leading the development, governance, optimization, and support of financial reporting platforms and business intelligence solutions across the APEC Continent. This role serves as the primary liaison between Finance, Technology, Data & Analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions effectively support financial planning, performance management, management reporting, and decision-making.

The position is responsible for driving reporting platform strategy, data governance, reporting automation, and process standardization initiatives while ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and usability of financial and operational data. The Senior Manager oversees the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical solutions to improve business insights and operational efficiency.

The role partners closely with Financial Planning & Reporting, Finance Business Partners, Hotel Finance teams, Finance Operations, and Technology teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions that support the evolving needs of the APEC organization. 

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

Reporting Platform Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the governance, enhancement, and continuous improvement of financial reporting platforms and business intelligence solutions across the APEC Continent.
  • Establish reporting standards, data governance practices, and reporting controls to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency of financial information.
  • Develop and maintain reporting roadmaps aligned with Finance and business priorities.
  • Act as the Finance owner for reporting platform initiatives and enhancements.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards, reporting solutions, and financial performance analytics tools.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to identify opportunities to improve business insights through data visualization and reporting automation.
  • Develop and maintain key financial and operational performance metrics used across the continent.
  • Ensure reporting platforms support management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning requirements.

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Drive automation initiatives utilizing Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, and other reporting technologies.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve data integration, data quality, reporting efficiency, and system performance.
  • Lead reporting platform upgrades, testing, implementation, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual reporting processes and improve operational effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planning & Reporting, Finance Business Partners, Hotel Finance, Finance Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Translate business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for reporting platforms, dashboards, and reporting architecture.
  • Provide guidance and support to reporting users across the continent.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop reporting and analytics professionals supporting APEC Finance.
  • Promote best practices in reporting, analytics, automation, and data governance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Project & Change Management

  • Manage reporting platform projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Support strategic finance transformation initiatives and enterprise reporting projects.
  • Prepare executive updates, project status reports, and business cases for reporting platform investments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong financial acumen combined with advanced business intelligence and reporting platform expertise.
  • Extensive experience developing and managing Power BI solutions and reporting ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling, data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting architecture.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English. 

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, reporting platforms, analytics, finance technology, or related functions.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing reporting, analytics, or technology-enabled finance teams.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, SQL, and reporting automation tools required.
  • Experience supporting multinational or regional reporting environments preferred.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.
