A Snapshot
As the Senior Manager, Finance, you will report to the Senior Director, Group Financial Controller, and work closely with the rest of the Finance team, making your mark in number of ways:
- You lead the Singapore/Malaysia based financial control team and be responsible for continuing to build out the high performing team.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting requirements of the Group’s ROW (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India) operations – including but not limited to managing the Group ROW’s financial year-end close as well as local and group audits.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the improving the financial control policies and processes, determining and driving the strategy of how they continue to scale and transform globally as we continue to grow existing locations, add in new markets and work closely with the Finance leadership team to solve our most complex cross-functional challenges.
- You will work closely with other teams within Finance including Finance Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and cross functionally with other leaders at AirTrunk including Legal, Development, Technology and Operations teams.
Your Day to Day
- Responsibility for various information undertakings and other requirements of financing arrangements.
- Oversee the financial control function of the Group’s ROW across Asia Pacific including all matters pertaining to financial and statutory reporting, consolidation, and taxation.
- Management of the year-end audit process for the Group’s ROW entities in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong & India – including leading the relationship with the Group Auditor and respective local auditors (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan and India).
- Lead the gap adjustments from JGAAP, Indian GAAP to IFRS for the holding co. of Japan & India entities.
- Preparation of accounting papers for complex financial reporting matters, including commercials
- Working together with colleagues in the Finance Systems and Finance Operations team – management /oversight of the Group’s financial systems, including the ERP, consolidation and statutory accounts preparation systems; and
- Lead the development and continued process improvement of best operational practices in accounting and financial reporting.
- Management of internal controls, delegations, policies and procedures, including continued development of controls appropriate for a growing business across the APAC region
- Staying abreast of potential changes in the operating environment and developments within the business to advise on appropriate risk management practices.
- Lead any ad-hoc projects and duties as required.
Requirements
- Seasoned Finance professional with broad experience across financial reporting, consolidation, the management of Group and subsidiary audits and providing technical accounting advisory services to a large and complex organisation.
- A big problem solver that is happy to take on any challenge, get their hands dirty and figure out a solution.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to distil complex problems and make recommendations with ease to senior business leaders
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised, exceptional attitude
- Experience in leading and growing large teams
- Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
