Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

Responsibilities:

Being responsible for the overall outcome from the team on art production

  • Overseeing the entire art production from beginning to end.
  • Transferring creative vision to digestible and actionable items for the art team.
  • Coordinating craft leads to reviewing art assets, to ensure content’s creative direction is aligned with product objectives, and experience is cohesive.
  • Ensure art delivery is in a timely fashion and meets the high quality standards.
  • Facilitating the process of enabling R&D contents to become evergreen art production, removing creative blockers for the team

Managing relationships across teams

  • Setting up and managing a trusted relationship with stakeholders on all sides.
  • Engaging with different parties effectively for improving collaboration in a co-dev environment.
  • Driving and maintaining a healthy and highly engaging work culture in your team.

Support and enable the large and ever growing teams in Riot and external vendors

  • Managing Riot craft leads across different disciplines, being responsible for their career development, setting them up for success.
  • Supporting your reports to build their robust teams with engaging culture and amazing productivity.
  • Hiring AAA Riot candidates globally, by coordinating with your manager and recruitment team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experienced with the entire game art production pipeline, knowing the dependencies and how every discipline coordinates with each other.
  • Motivated by both art directing and people management.
  • Creativity or outcome focused, with attention to detail, hold self and work to high standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill, being able to effectively navigate through vague situations.
  • Deft skill on translating vague creative ideas to digestible information and actionable items.
  • Is articulate and a good communicator. Be able to communicate abstract / complicated ideas and clear goals, in English.
  • Experienced on people management and knowing how to set others to success.
  • Play Teamfight Tactics and have great player orientation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Having experience in collaborating with development managers or producers on content planning and schedule maintenance.
  • Experience working on video games. Bonus points for:
    • Working with wonky tech
    • Working on games with low hardware requirements e.g. mobile
    • Working on Auto-Chess or similar
    • Outsourcing experience
  • Broad experience, working production end to end.
  • Variety engine experience such as Unreal.
Good to have Qualifications:
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • AAA Feature/Game experience

Our Perks:

  • Full relocation support
  • Full health insurance for you, your spouse, and children
  • Open paid time off
  • Retirement benefits with company matching
  • Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability
  • Play Fund so you can broaden and deepen your knowledge of our players and community through games
  • We will double down on your donations of time and money to non-profits

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
