Job Profile Summary:
In this role, you will provide advice to business units including legal support in relation to commercial matters, complaints handling and dispute resolution. As part of this dynamic role, you will report to the Chief Legal and Government Relations Officer and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Description:
- Manage and independently lead on complex legal and regulatory matters across all business lines of PACS.
- Responsibilities will include litigation management, driving debt recovery efficiencies, rendering advisory on contentious matters and/or disputes and/or FIDREC matters and drafting and negotiating various types of insurance related agreements.
- Provide business friendly and pragmatic legal and regulatory support to various business streams of PACS, including on complex major projects across various business streams of PACS.
- Work as an effective business partner across various business streams of PACS.
- Liaise with external counsel to handle litigation cases.

Competencies & Personal Traits
- Experience in life insurance and/or general insurance and/or litigation and/or contentious matters.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive business friendly solutions and/or resolutions for PACS.
- Strong ability to take hard decisions and stand by the same.
- Able to work independently and have initiative.
Working Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of PQE, attained preferably from a collage of private practice and in-house work.
Education
- LLB (Honours),minimum 5 years of PQE
