This is a critical role within our Legal function, where you will serve as a strategic partner to affiliates and leadership teams in APAC, helping ensure the business operates efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

This role offers a unique chance to help shape the future of rare disease access in APAC, with a legal remit spanning commercial, operational, compliance, and regulatory matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a strategic legal advisor to APAC affiliates, enabling compliant business growth.
  • Provide timely, pragmatic legal counsel across commercial, market access, supply chain, medical, compliance, and privacy matters.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches and day-to-day business execution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements.
  • Support interactions with HCPs, patient organizations, and healthcare entities, ensuring alignment with global standards and local laws.
  • Advise on legal entity governance, licensing, and regulatory requirements across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China Mainland.
  • Actively contribute to global and regional legal initiatives, including process optimization and knowledge-sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Compliance team to ensure a strong, integrated legal & compliance framework across the region.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Law degree from a recognized university and qualified to practice in at least one key APAC jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of legal experience in the life sciences sector (in-house or top-tier law firm).
  • Deep understanding of APAC regional laws and regulations, particularly in Singapore, South Korea, and Australia.
  • Experience in drafting third-party agreements (distribution, pharmacovigilance, intercompany, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and anti-bribery/anti-corruption frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required.
  • Additional APAC language skills are a plus.

You Are

  • A confident legal partner who can balance business priorities with legal risk.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on attitude, able to work independently and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills—you communicate legal concepts clearly and constructively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and solutions-focused.
  • Committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-led company improving lives across the globe.
  • Work in a fast-paced, international environment where your work directly shapes access to life-saving therapies.
  • Join a company where values come first—we are guided by care, courage, and a commitment to doing the right thing.
  • Gain exposure to high-impact legal work across multiple markets and cross-functional teams.
