Job Profile Description
The IT Delivery Lead will execute technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders, developing analysis to support process and project improvements. This role involves managing and coordinating business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development, and implementation via Agile methodologies. The IT Delivery Lead will work with stakeholders to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projects, ensuring they are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting business objectives. Key competencies include technical experience in real-time complex applications, prior insurance project management or delivery experience, proficiency in Agile methodologies, and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets: Oversee projects from inception to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within agreed scope and approved budget.
- Coordinate teams: Allocate cross-functional teams effectively, preparing project teams for kickoff and ensuring efficient resource utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor progress and budgets: Track project activities and milestones, monitor spend vs. budgets, and come up with delivery metrics for tracking and reporting, identifying issues with resolution and mitigating risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting: Provide consistent and transparent updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and management on project status, progress, challenges and resolution strategy.
- Adopt Agile principles: Champion Agile methodologies to manage backlog, sprint goals, sprints planning and enable continuous delivery.
- Liaise with regional teams: Customize solutions to meet local market needs, balancing regional consistency with unique local market business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative environment: Promote a high-performing, collaborative team culture, providing coaching and feedback to ensure alignment with technology strategies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field, with proven experience and track record in large-scale complex project management holding delivery roles.
- Strong technical skills in Java, Angular, DevOps, microservices, cloud-based solution.
- Prior insurance experience in project management and delivery. Strong business acumen in insurance and finance domains.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies with experience in delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.
- Experience with delivery management objectives in Onshore & Offshore models for multiple clients globally.
- Proficiency in project planning and progress monitoring, including budget and milestone control.
- Creative problem-solving skills, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situations professionally.
