As the Assembly and Test (AT) IP Security Engineer, you will be part of the AT BISO (Business Information Security Officer) Organization. You will partner with Micron's Enterprise Infrastructure and Security (EIS) and your business area (Assembly and Test) to implement security controls, reduce risk, and maintain business continuity. You will work within Assembly and Test organizations (and sites) to identify risks, help classify data and establish processes which are aligned to Micron's security disciplines. You will serve as an ambassador for Assembly and Test Organization to protect Micron's most sensitive data (Intellectual Property). You will institutionalize a security-first culture across AT operations and ensure compliance with micron's security standards, whilst ensuring AT Business continuity
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Liaison with EIS team and AT business are to support roadmaps, strategies, and requirements to improve Micron's security policies. Bridge security goals and commitments with articulated business needs driving towards a common set of goals and objectives
  • Participate in defining clear goals and strategic initiatives to improve our security posture in line with Micron's 7 Security Disciplines.
  • Secure Data Handling: Help secure micron's most Sensitive Data (Sensitive Data Protection Program), through Data Classification and Inventorization. Help define and implement Entitlement Policy Management System (EPMS) for Assembly and Test organization.
  • Identity & Access Management: Help drive initiatives to manage access based on a need-to-know basis. Support Micron's key initiatives such as Role Based Access Control (RBAC) Program for access governance and control. Advocate and apply Need-to-Know Philosophy
  • Physical Security: Contribute towards key programs such as Global Product Scrap, SIG Equipment Scrap and other physical security related programs.
  • Third Party Risk Management: Focus on secure collaboration with suppliers, contractors and other partners. Help drive vendor risk management. Ensure communication with third parties through approved channels such as EPIC portals. Ensure compliance of vendor / visitor hosting practices and differentiate micron employees, vendors and visitors through aligned smock designs and badges.
  • Security Awareness & Culture: Advocate the "Human Firewall" discipline by improving awareness through various campaigns of Phishing, Good Catch etc. Create and publish monthly communication within AT through various newsletters and partner publications. Participate and lead campaigns and roadshows to raise security awareness. Be a positive security influencer for Assembly and Test Organization.
  • Program Governance: Program Governance: Help manage various access and exception management requests to protect Micron's IP whilst ensuring business continuity.
  • Program Management: Create and define Metrics (leading and lagging) to define and improve security health within micron for Assembly and Test Organization. Create and maintain dashboards as required. Maintain AT BISO SharePoint site and confluence pages. Support all periodic and focused leadership communication, meetings, and reviews
  • Support and develop AI-assisted solutions to enhance BISO operations, improving efficiency, risk visibility and decision-making capabilities.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent in cyber security
  • 3-5 years in semiconductor industry with preferred exposure to information security, Cyber Security, Risk Management or data governance.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor assembly and test processes is essential to represent the role
  • Expertise in data classification, Data Inventory Management, Data Loss Prevention, External Data Sharing Governance.
  • CISSP, CISM, PMP or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Strong Program Management and problem-solving skills such as Change Management, strong stakeholder management, communication and ability to influence AT Leadership
  • Ability to develop and leverage AI-enabled solutions to support IP security risk assessments, approval governance processes, and the generation of recommendations and responses for exception requests.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
