As a Sr. Financial Accountant, you will focus on financial accounting and reporting for US GAAP close and local compliance matters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage complex daily accounting and operational activities
- Analyze and review financial data to ensure appropriate balances and transactions
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation controls
- Perform and review month-end close activities, including journal entries
- Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, close analytics, variance analysis, and ad hoc reports
- Review legal agreements, where applicable, to assess financial impact
- Manage and support internal and external audit activities
- Maintain expertise and ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and SOX controls
- Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers
- Lead or support process improvement and automation initiatives
- Support internal and external stakeholders
- Present financial information to Finance Management
- Proactively highlight financial data challenges and address risks
- Act as primary liaison for Taiwan site finance operations
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trail, and record retention
- Coordinate on-site finance support
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Key Skill/Proficiencies
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP experience highly desirable
- Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred
- Experience in data analysis & result oriented
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direct supervision / direction
- Ability to work under deadlines in a constantly evolving environment
- Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters
- Ability to handle change sensitively and in a collaborative manner
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is an added advantage
- Minimum 3-6 years of accounting or audit experience preferred
- Knowledge of Taiwan accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements is an advantage
- Experience in shared services environment is a plus
