Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business partnership with BU leaders and develop Asia region’s financial strategy and investment goals. You will act as a controller and financial advisor overseeing the investment portfolio ensuring optimal resource allocation and controls.
  • Lead AOP, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning cycles for lab operations and program portfolios (Opex, Capex, headcount)
  • Perform variance analysis, identify key drivers, and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop concise performance narratives linking operational activity to financial results
  • Manage a team of analysts
  • Partner with Product development, operations, sales and BU Finance to rationalize investment decisions on growth programs aimed at enhancing P&L and competitively positioning AMAT.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and develop frameworks to analyze and make recommendations on key programs.
  • Track program milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress against budget and schedule.
  • Partner with operations to monitor ecosystem and competitive trends in Asia region.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively
  • Strong written/oral communication, organizational, and project administration skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
  • Familiarity with MS Copilot usage and prompting
  • Strong understanding of accounting/financial principles and statutory regulations/legal requirements
  • Require some travel to lab sites within Asia Pacific as well as travel to HQ in Santa Clara

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A and strategic finance roles
  • MBA plus Engineering is preferable.
  • Proficiency in Excel and advanced financial modeling
  • In-depth Knowledge of accounting guidelines and tax codes
  • Experience with SAP ERP system is a plus
