About the Role

Settlement & Reconciliation is the operational and regulatory core of our business — the function that moves and reconciles customer money across every product and partner, and ensures we always have the funds in place to settle. As Senior Finance Manager, you will own settlement, reconciliation, cash-flow forecasting and exception management end to end, partner with Product and Engineering as we build, and handle our regulatory and partner reporting. You will build and lead a team and play a central role in scaling our finance operations — a rare opportunity to own a function at the heart of how the business moves and safeguards money.

You Will

Settlement

  • Settle with card networks, FX, and remittance partners, ensuring funds reach partners accurately and on time
  • Validate, and approve user refunds and cashback disbursements

Reconciliation

  • Own daily reconciliation across all products and flows - topup, withdrawals, purchases, etc., - against bank statements, partner data, and internal records
  • Review and approve balance adjustments and user compensation

Cash flow & liquidity

  • Forecast settlement inflows and outflows to ensure sufficient prefunding and liquidity to meet settlement obligations and regulatory requirements

Continuous improvement

  • Investigate reconciliation variances, partnering with Product and Engineering to identify the root causes, refine systems, and strengthen processes

Reporting & accounting support

  • Prepare and submit regulatory and partner reporting
  • Provide settlement journals, accruals, and reconciliation support for month-end and year-end close

Business partnering & leadership

  • Partner with Product, Data and Engineering on new features and enhancements — to assess the impact on revenue and cost recognition, define data and reporting requirements for reconciliations, evaluate settlement cut-off times and their impact on safeguarded balances, identify tax implications, and support product testing and implementation
  • Drive process improvement and automation, including adopting AI tools
  • Build, lead and develop a team of 5+

RequirementsYou Are
  • A proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with 10+ years across finance operations, settlement, treasury or financial control — ideally gained in fintech, payments or banking.
  • Proven people manager, having led teams of 5 or more
  • Strong grasp of payment flows, reconciliation, card networks, and multi-currency operations
  • Experience with settlement, prefunding, liquidity, and regulatory and partner reporting (e.g. MAS or equivalent)
  • Strong controls mindset and attention to detail, with the analytical skill to resolve complex breaks
  • Possess excellent communication skills and business acumen
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, and regulated environment
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; CA / CPA / ACCA an advantage
