Senior Finance Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized finance executive to join our accounting team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including handling claims, assisting with payroll, maintaining financial records, and helping in the preparation of financial reports.

Role responsibilities

• Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical), including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.

• Perform regular and detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.

• Oversee fixed assets, general ledger reconciliation, and manage accounts payable/receivable as a function.

• Brief leadership regularly on the company’s financial status.

• Stay informed and ensure timely implementation in compliance with Singaporean tax regulations.

• Monitor accounting operational activities and regularly and establish accounting policies and procedures.

• Ensure high accuracy in the submission of all financial statements in accordance with the FRSS.

• Assist in payroll processing and resolving any related discrepancies.

• Manage, process, and validate all company claims while maintaining detailed records.

Required experience

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience within Finance and Accounting, with exposure to payroll.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles such as General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, and Month/Year-end Closing Processes.

• Conversant with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.

• Demonstrable experience in process improvement, systems implementation to improve finance the stack. Experience in or strong interest in using AI to improve finance processes will be looked on favourably.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, as well as experience in accounting software such as Xero.

• Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin and English.
