The Finance & Accounting Analyst is responsible for appropriate and effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls pertaining to: financial management, accounting / commercial processes and procedures (GAAP & STAT), tax compliance, commercial contracting compliance and to provide strategic advice, support, and services to internal business partners and external audiences and providers.

This position reports to the Controller, Asia Distribution and is part of the Controllership team within Finance organization, located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.  

What you will do:

  • Maintain a good understanding of the full Trial Balance to ensure that account balances are correct and understood, ensuring account reconciliations, closing & reporting tasks are completed in line with Cytiva requirements to support monthly / quarterly / annual balance sheet reviews, P&L reviews, composition and fluctuation analysis, margin analysis, statistical submissions, revenue recognition assessments and other closing-related analysis / tasks and suggest adjustment as vital.
  • Ownership of the statutory accounts production including liaison with auditors. Tax support to tax team, ensuring timely completion of financial statements sign off, annual returns filings & adhoc audits from local authorities.
  • Assist with Commercial Contracting review & monitoring process, identify & raise risk flags on terms and conditions on commercial contracts that deviates from standard terms to respective stakeholders.
  • Responsible for & act as the central point of contact for all internal and external audits for the assigned legal entities, including leading the collection & submission of documents required for the audit and the response to audit queries, with timely deliverables of commitments towards each & closure of the open items/defects and proactively work to prevent future issues/manage risk.
  • Maintain strong communication with all business partners, from teams supported by our shared service center to leaders that manage and operate our sites and external consultants. Effectively collaborate with team by focusing on identifying inefficiencies, delivering results with accuracy & in-time.

Who you are:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in accounting, Finance, or related discipline or a Qualified Accountant.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience and achievements in Finance area, knowledge of accounting rules / concepts.
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Statements preparation, Statutory Reporting, Corporate Tax, and auditing tasks.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and ASC606
  • Understanding of financial controls, SOX, Corporate Governance and risk management
  • Oracle ERP
