The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

The Senior Executive, Curriculum will work closely with the School Leads, different teams within the department and the various education offices in the healthcare training institutions to ensure seamless coordination in curriculum delivery on campus and in clinical posting training sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for sessions scheduled in the Year 3 Enhanced Campus Based Learning (ECBL) weeks for Medicine, Surgery and Short Postings clinical blocks, Year 3 Campus Teaching Week (CTW) and Wrap-up Week (WuW)

  • Coordinate simulation-based learning experiences by working closely with session Leads to finalise Simulated Patient (SP) scenarios, coordinate SP recruitment and ensure all supporting arrangements are delivered to a high standard.

  • Collaborate with Leads, the Office of Medical Education and Science & Anatomy Laboratories teams to ensure learning spaces, equipment and resources are prepared prior to the session.

  • Facilitate the development and deployment of curriculum resources by collaborating with content experts to coordinate, quality-check, format and publish preparation materials across relevant digital learning platforms.

  • Coordinate clinical education placements and postings by partnering closely with hospital Education Offices (EDOs) to plan and arrange Medicine and Surgery clinical postings for students, ensuring placements are well-coordinated and aligned with curriculum requirements.

  • Drive the effective administration of the digital curriculum by creating and maintaining learning events across the full academic year in Elentra, including attendance-taking activities, to support accurate scheduling and communication.

  • Coordinate logistics for integrated and combined teaching sessions within the Medicine and Surgery clinical postings, working across relevant stakeholders to ensure teaching spaces, resources and operational arrangements are in place for smooth and effective session delivery.

  • Oversee room booking for teaching spaces in the Eco Book

  • Assist in events organised by the team and department

Requirements:

  • A good University degree in any discipline

  • Candidates with prior experience in the education and/or healthcare sector are preferred

  • Experience in scheduling/timetabling will be an advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Able to work independently under time pressure and changing deadlines/priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Able to multi-task and work on different portfolios and projects simultaneously

  • Analytical, Meticulous and enjoy solving problems
