The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science at Nanyang Technological University, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance excellence in biological and biomedical sciences. Our research spans diverse and impactful areas including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative disorders, telomere biology, and genome function. SBS is home to a vibrant, international community of scientific leaders, researchers, and professionals dedicated to innovation, discovery, and education.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support student administration matters, including leave applications, academic progression monitoring, and student support initiatives.
Support the planning and execution of outreach and recruitment activities, including Open House, Tea Parties, school visits, and student engagement events.
Provide administrative and logistical support for major School events, such as Science Discovery Camp, Convocation, and other student-related activities.
Coordinate undergraduate admissions and scholarship interviews, including scheduling, communication with candidates and faculty members, and preparation of interview materials.
Support the administration of Final Year Projects, including event logistics, documentation management, faculty workload reporting, and coordination with stakeholders.
Support Accelerated Poly Pathway Programme, including admissions, registration, fee collection, and certification processes.
Support examination administration and academic operations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university; fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with a Polytechnic diploma and relevant working experience may also be considered.
Knowledge of academic administration processes within a higher education environment, student lifecycle management, programme administration, and event coordination. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and database systems is preferred.
Preferably 2-4 years of relevant administrative experience in higher education, student services, admissions, or programme administration.
Strong organisational, coordination, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Meticulous, detail-oriented, and service-oriented, with a strong commitment to student experience.
Adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Professional, proactive, resourceful, and able to exercise initiative in a fast-paced environment.
