Job Description
Role Summary
The Engineering Assistant provides operational, logistical, and material-readiness support to the Engineering organisation. You will focus on engineering inventory management, procurement coordination, shipment documentation, and NPI material readiness tracking, ensuring engineering teams have timely access to tools, components, and accurate records. You will report to engineering manager based in Singapore.
Your Responsibilities:1. You will Support procurement activities for engineering tools, instruments, and components; track orders and delivery updates.
2. You will Maintain material readiness and inventory tracking files, including Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)-based trackers used for engineering and NPI support.
3. Manage engineering inventories, including tracking contents, maintaining records, and coordinating ownership
4. You will Prepare shipment information for inter-site or international transfers of engineering equipment, modules, parts.
5. Coordinate with engineers, admin teams, security, facilities, and suppliers to support daily engineering operations.
6. Support material transition activities to ensure continuity of engineering materials and documentation.
The Essentials - You Will Have:- Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Computer)
- 2–5 years' experience supporting engineering, lab, or technical teams
- Hands-on experience with inventory tracking, asset management, or material coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and maintaining structured tracking files
- Familiarity with procurement, order tracking, or supplier coordination processes
- Comfortable coordinating across engineers, admin teams, facilities/security, and suppliers
