Job Description

The Senior Director, Strategy and Operations for Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Asia Pacific (AP) will be entrusted with a broad portfolio of responsibilities helping Visa to accelerate the growth of VCA and the broader Advisory business. He/she will be a key member of the VCA AP leadership team, working closely with VCA AP Geographical Leads as well as the Head of VCA Consulting, Managed Services and Data Science in AP. Additionally, this role is responsible for driving Value-in-Kind (VIK), which is Visa’s commitment to provide clients with products and services as an incentive, in lieu of cash incentives for Visa.

You will play a meaningful role in growing VCA’s business during a dynamic period in the payments industry, driving the development of strategy, planning and infrastructure for the business to scale. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Visa including Sales, Product, Value Added Services, Client Services and other functions such as the People Team, Finance and Operations. The position is effectively a Chief of Staff role that reports to the Head of VCA in AP.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of VCA AP as a Chief of Staff, developing and aligning the strategy and planning in partnership with the leadership team
  • Develop the long-term strategy for VCA and Visa, and drive the alignment and execution of strategic initiatives with the rest of the organization
  • Drive Value-in-Kind (VIK) for Visa by developing and executing initiatives that accelerate the creation of VIK in Visa’s deals and consumption of VIK towards Visa’s services and solutions, including but not limited to VCA’s services
  • Design, develop, and lead initiatives that strengthen core infrastructure needed to scale the VCA business in AP, while driving operational efficiency for the business. This includes, but is not limited to, people / talent / project management, financial performance management, knowledge management, systems and processes
  • Lead planning and performance management for VCA which includes Annual Budgeting, Regular Pipeline Reviews, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with the Leadership Team
  • Balance facilitation, influence, and leadership to drive alignment across the Visa organization and execute strategic initiatives for VCA
  • Manage a team of 5 to drive the end-to-end planning and execution of a broad range of initiatives for VCA

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, with experience either in payments, banking, or consulting.
  • Exceptional academic credentials, including a degree from a top tier institution. MBA or post graduate degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in or in-depth knowledge of financial services is strongly preferred, ideally with a deep understanding of consulting, cards and payments. Technology sector experience would also be desirable
  • Proven track record of delivering high impact results working on projects in the areas of corporate strategy, growth initiatives and new market/segment/business strategies
  • Global or multi-national business experience is preferred

  • Execution and impact oriented through effective planning and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to key stakeholders
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and drive. Able to proactively identify areas of opportunity and develop plans and initiatives to capture / address
