Job Description

The Senior Director, Quick Commerce (Dmart) will lead the strategic and operational direction of the vertical across all APAC and EU markets, overseeing performance, P&L, and resource allocation. This role focuses on driving growth, operational excellence, and innovation while fostering collaboration between country teams, regional functions, and headquarters. The leader will identify new opportunities, streamline processes, and develop top talent, ensuring a sustainable and adaptable approach in a dynamic business landscape.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute both short and long-term strategies for the Quick Commerce vertical across all APAC and EU markets, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals
  • Oversee and monitor business performance and OKRs, collaborating closely with country teams to ensure delivery on targets
  • Manage the budgeting process including allocation of resources strategically between countries to support priorities on the strategy and big bets
  • Own the P&L for the Quick Commerce vertical, balancing results across countries to achieve sustainable growth and profitability
  • Identify and deploy innovative, growth-focused initiatives to expand the business and unlock new opportunities
  • Act as a bridge between country organizations, regional teams, and Central headquarters, representing the Quick Commerce vertical and driving the agenda forward
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, anticipate challenges, and optimize processes for operational efficiency
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the organization to build a high-performing team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience, including 5 years in Quick Commerce, Online Grocery, or related industries
  • 8–10 years of leadership experience, with demonstrated success in building and mentoring high-performing teams in a regional or global capacity
  • Demonstrated success in managing operations at a country or regional level, with a strong focus on driving growth and achieving operational excellence
  • Preferably, experience in one or more of the markets where we currently operate
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, effectively balancing immediate needs with sustainable results
  • Adaptable and proactive approach, with a willingness to take on diverse roles and tackle challenges in a dynamic and evolving business landscape
  • Willingness to travel frequently, as a significant part of the role involves engaging with teams and stakeholders across multiple regions
