Job Description:
- Responsible to provide MS SQL Server, Maria DB administration and support for projects/clients.
- Create, document, and implement standards and/or complex modelling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the database.
- Coordinating with customers and application project managers for database infrastructure implementation and setup as per application requirements.
- Responsible to plan, schedule, track and coordinate with project manager, application support for database system version upgrade and database server patches.
- Manage, design, and implement database backup and recovery procedure for database recovery. Implement monitoring for database backup.
- Assist application team to troubleshoot application/database related issues. Manage and coordinate with vendors to provide database support for the customers.
- Provide SIT, UAT and Production database application installation, setup, and support.
- Manage and configure the database backup and day to day operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 3-5 years’ database administration experience of MS SQL Server & support on Windows/Azure environment.
- 1-2 years’ database experience in installation, configuration, and setup of MariaDB and MS SQL HADR AG Failover Cluster instances & Peer-peer Replication.
- Knowledge or/and experience on Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata, OGG, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB & Cloud DB Environment models (DBaaS) will be an advantage.
- Experience on Oracle & MS SQL Server database security hardening, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Ability to coordinate with customer, application project managers & vendors on database infrastructure setup and installation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and a commitment to maintain optimum database system availability for customer.
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on commitment to continuous improvement in database system availability and performance
- Ability to work independently and exemplify good working integrity in a team.

The Infra engineer (24X7 Shift) will be required to provide operation support for Enterprise IT System. Ensure the IT systems function efficiently and that services run smoothly. IT System operate on both Windows and UNIX platform, running application on middleware products such as Oracle, MS-SQL, JBoss, Tomcat, Kubernetes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the configuration, administration, monitoring and daily maintenance of enterprise-wide application such as Oracle, MS-SQL, Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss , Websphere Application Servers, Kubernetes, Kafka, IBM-MQ.
Interact with Software Development and infrastructure teams to implement application solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.
Interact with software, network and infrastructure administrators to seamlessly solve technical issues.
Troubleshooting web, middleware and database environments.
Identify potential and real performance bottlenecks within web environments.
Using troubleshooting methods to differentiate between an infrastructure or environment problem.
Constantly update documentation as necessary to reflect system setup and environment.
To handle escalation seamlessly to avoid any gaps that may arise to meet or exceed SLA.
To utilise ITSM process and tool support.
Requirements:
Must be a Singaporean citizen due to G50 security clearance requirements by the client.
Diploma/Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Working experience in Linux and Windows system.
Strong implementation and administrative skillsets for Linux and Windows
Good knowledge of MS-SQL and open-source solutions such as JBoss, Docker containers and Kubernetes container orchestration
Prior experience providing enterprise-wide on-premises systems support.
Possess analytical mindset.
Possessed initiative that would improve productivity and efficiency.
