Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our data infrastructure—building scalable pipelines, enabling real-time insights, and helping teams across the company make smarter, data-driven decisions. You’ll work with leading technologies like Kafka, Airflow, Spark, and AWS, alongside a passionate team that’s driving the future of the crypto economy.

What you'll be doing:

• Build scalable, highly performant infrastructure for delivering clear business insights from a variety of raw data sources.

• Develop and maintain batch & real-time data pipelines/ analytical solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept for selected solutions

• Develop, improve and simplify frameworks and tools to empower our data analysts and internal teams to make data-driven decisions.

• Implement analytical projects with a focus on collecting, managing, analyzing, and visualizing data.

• Deploy and use various big data technologies and run pilots to design and improve low latency data architectures at scale

• Implement best practices for managing versions and source control for data product development

• Be a technical leader and strategic thinker to decide the technology stacks used in the process

• Work well independently but also in teams, with technical software engineers who can help with infrastructure set up, but be the expert on data related matters

• Have a strong drive to develop oneself and take on bigger projects, with the ultimate aim of being a leader in the organization

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5 years' relevant experience

• Deep understanding of Big Data technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, Apache Superset, etc.

• Experience with complex data modelling, ETL design, and using large databases in a business environment

• Proficient in Python and SQL. Working knowledge or experiences with Java / Scala is a plus.

• Experience with Big Data transformation technologies, especially Spark

• Have built data pipelines end-to-end

• Exposure to Cloud technologies on AWS or Azure

• Advanced understanding and/or experience working in a Cryptocurrency/Blockchain/Fintech/Finance Trading domain preferred

• Experience with data devops technology for deployment such as IoC (Terraform), Kubernetes, etc. is a plus
