Responsibilities
  • Maintain close communication with QSC and Area offices in all DG matters.

  • Ensure IMDG, CFR49, SOLAS and in-house rules and regulations are complied.

  • Responsible for DG securities, inspection and procedures as per JWP.

  • Provide guidance to Areas pertaining to DG issues on daily basis.

  • Clarify all DG related questions within the team.

  • Handle special or sensitive DG shipments.

  • Respond to inquiry and assist to Cargo Patrol hits.

  • Prepare DG summaries with stowage requirements for planners, clarify stowage/segregation queries from vessels.

  • Perform 4-eye Check to DG stowage plans and take over responsibility for correctness.

  • Perform weekend duty.

  • Support DG workshop for RAS Areas.

 

Adhoc:

  • Involvement in pilot projects whenever necessary.

Special Tasks:

  • Giving guidance to colleagues, assisting Areas and Planners in respect to DG information, take on responsibilities to assist ODM Catalogue duties

 

Collaboration:
(Internal & External persons/organisation that the jobholder needs to work closely with in this role. Eg. Internally with Regional Sales, GAM department etc.)

  • Knowledge Centre Validators, Ship Planners, Cargo Operations, QSC/Areas (CS) and Consortium partners

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Marine Studies or at least 5 years’ experience in handling DG matters.

  • Sound IMDG Code knowledge, basic knowledge of related Regulations.

  • Fluent in Business English, both written and oral.

  • Proficient in MS Office
