Lead BI initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs, create dashboards, analyze data, and promote self-service BI for decision-making.
Income Insurance is undergoing a strategic transformation across its business and technology landscape, with Business Intelligence playing a critical role in translating data into timely and actionable insights to support business growth, operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, KPIs and analytical requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
- Lead and own end-to-end delivery of BI initiatives across multiple BI workstreams, encompassing prioritization, dependency management, requirements definition, implementation and continuous enhancement to ensure timely outcomes aligned with business objectives
- Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support enterprise reporting and analysis needs
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to generate actionable insights and support data‑driven decision‑making
- Create clear, intuitive data visualisations using Tableau to enable effective data storytelling
- Enable and promote self‑service BI by delivering trusted data sources and well‑designed analytical products
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on BI tools, metrics, and best practices
- Collaborate with data engineers, data office, and governance teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage
- Drive BI governance activities, including access management, usage monitoring and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement of BI standards, platforms and processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Maths / Statistics / Analytics / Technology / Business or a relevant discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ working experience in business intelligence or analytics role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or similar technologies is an advantage
- Experience working with data warehouses and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong expertise in Tableau and other modern BI tools, with solid data visualization and storytelling skills
- Proven experience applying analytics in insurance, banking, financial services or multi-national corporations with large enterprise data environments
- Analytical, detail-oriented, ability to manage timelines and adapt to business needs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work effectively across business and technology teams
- Experience leading multiple analytics initiatives or workstreams
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders on priorities and KPI definitions
