Our objectives as a team:

  • To research, design, and support the building, rollout, and commercialization of Lending products across our regional markets.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on lending performances across markets and provide actionable insights.
  • Assist in managing partnerships that help expand market access, acquire capabilities or drive commercialization of products.
  • Share knowledge and support countries to replicate products, launch new initiatives within local markets or identify and close new partnerships.
  • Drive growth, engagement and retention of users of Grab platform across Lending products


The day-to-day activities:

Business analysis and insights

  • Design market intelligence metrics and performance measurement dashboards to monitor ongoing performance of Lending's portfolio of businesses
  • Conduct in-depth market research/competitor analysis across both SME and Consumer portfolios to provide team with key growth insights
  • Own the day to day monitoring of key lending metrics, highlight areas of strength and improvement and independently drive changes working with the country teams
  • Assist segment heads (SME and Consumer) in periodic review and reporting of business performance (e.g. Exco level documents)


Business owner support - SME and Consumer Lending

  • Work closely with the SME and Consumer Lending segment leads to rollout products and partnerships across markets, collaborating with country teams.
  • Assist with inputs into product development via a keen grasp of business imperatives and a clear understanding of technology and regulatory framework's possibilities and/or limitations.
  • Support and execute key strategic projects, from identifying issues, gathering information from various sources, analyzing data, and interpreting patterns and trends with the purpose of generating insights about the market.
  • Travel occasionally to support our colleagues across the region

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

  • More than 4+ years of experience in a commercial or analytical role, preferably within financial services, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL is a plus.
  • Clarity of thought, sharp analytical ability, effective problem-solver. Can do both strategic thinking and effective execution.
  • Ability to construct and deliver clear presentations to senior company executives. Strong skills with Excel/PowerBi for data analysis, including using Pivot Tables.
  • Intelligent, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
  • High levels of adaptability, comfortable with ambiguity and working in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) environment.
  • Experience in supporting complex, cross-functional projects. Ability to empathize and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels of experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of finance and experience in SME and consumer lending portfolios.
  • Experience in risk strategy and decision analytics will be highly beneficial.
