If you’re ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.

As an Operations Strategy Associate, you will be part of a talented team of operators, analysts and strategists who are driving change in Airwallex. With your unique ability to combine operational grind, data analytics and strategic thinking, you will both deliver daily impact and lead long-term changes to both operation and product efficiencies. You have an outsized appreciation of the customer experience and an insatiable drive for growth and learning. You are an exceptional problem solver and are equally excited to both take a high level analytical view and roll up your sleeves to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimise operations. Working closely with talented Operations teammates in the region and around the world, you will apply an incredibly analytical approach to dramatically improve the customer experience, especially around financial operations and customer support. Involves comprehensive data analysis to identify operational and product gaps, bottlenecks, and areas of improvement.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including internal teammates (Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations) and external (third party financial partners). Lead cross-functional projects to drive operational initiatives, including system integrations, process redesign, and technology implementations. Foster a collaborative and cohesive environment by working closely with teams across different functions and geographies.

  • Analytical wizard. You will be responsible for providing regular updates to senior management on the status of financial crime operations, including identifying emerging risks and proposing recommendations to mitigate those risks. Utilize analytical tools (SQL very helpful but not required) to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights. Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and trends. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership through effective data visualization and presentations.

  • Handle special projects and ad hoc incoming requests, including deep dives on issues identified by leadership or functional teams.

We are looking for someone who:

  • wants to make a meaningful impact through their work

  • never settles with status quo and always looking for better solutions

  • has incredibly strong problem solving skills

  • is a genuine truth-seeker, able to speak up while maintaining humility

  • Strong problem solving skills essential

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Self-starter that can identify and prioritize opportunities to focus on

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Technology, financial services and/or experience in a high growth environment is advantageous

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
