Corporate Team - SingaporeJob Description

We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Corporate team in Singapore.
Our global corporate, M&A and securities practice brings together a team of lawyers who advise across the full spectrum of industry matters. These include public takeovers, private M&A, joint ventures, disposals, debt and equity capital markets, governance, general commercial and corporate advisory matters.

With extensive experience in regional, national and international corporate, M&A and securities matters, we are well positioned to provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice on complex domestic, cross-border and multijurisdictional transactions in both emerging and developed markets. Our lawyers have a broad range of experience representing all parties in capital markets transactions, including issuers, underwriters, placement agents and selling shareholders. In the M&A space, we regularly represent buyers, sellers, financial advisers, funds and shareholders.

Our lawyers are strategically positioned in the world’s leading business and financial markets, enabling us to manage and seamlessly coordinate transactions across key industry sectors including financial institutions; energy, infrastructure and resources; technology; transport; life sciences and healthcare; and consumer markets.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 6 to 7 years UK equivalent PQE, qualified in Singapore, England & Wales, or an equivalent common law jurisdiction.
  • Experience working within the corporate transactional team of a leading international firm.
  • Demonstrated experience of regularly taking the lead associate role (including managing junior team members and local counsel) on complex / high value mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions, including those with a cross-border focus.
  • First class legal and drafting skills.
  • Excellent case management and organization skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and an excellent team player.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Calm, measured, and confident personality with strong communication skills.
