Smartkarma is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Analyst – ASEAN Private Markets to build ongoing research coverage across important venture capital- and private equity-backed businesses and industries in ASEAN. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Own overall responsibility for publishing high-impact research on venture capital- and private equity-backed businesses and industries in ASEAN for institutional investors.

• Develop and implement research frameworks to provide independent commentary on ASEAN business and industry trends and opportunities.

• Oversee research pipelines, including management of networks of analysts and vendors.

• Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, clients, and media to support primary research and thought leadership.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating with senior stakeholders and clients.

• Forward-looking tech and entrepreneurial mindset; comfort leveraging AI tools and alternative datasets to scale the unit while incorporating an owner mindset.
