Job DescriptionThis job opening is in the Ultimo team of IFS
Ultimo, an IFS company, is a leading Enterprise Asset Management provider with 2000+ customers worldwide, is transforming its internal operations (Sales, Finance, Marketing, HR, Service, etc.) with “Digital Coworkers” (DC)—intelligent agents that automate routine tasks, forecast outcomes, and integrate seamlessly with our systems and colleagues.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll help us speed up the implementation of these DCs and combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery to shape our organization. You’ll own the full development lifecycle of impactful agents, guide architecture decisions, mentor a junior engineer, and help with activities in our AI governance and quality practices.
There is also plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop new ideas and solutions for the organization. You’ll be working with autonomy, accountability, and technical brilliance.
Your Responsibilities
Platform & Architecture
- Advise on overall AI platform design (model hosting, data pipelines, scale-out strategy).
- Define and uphold best practices for model versioning, testing, and monitoring.
Solution Delivery
- Lead design and build of advanced Python-based agents (e.g., multi-step workflows, predictive pipelines, multi-agents).
- Oversee deployment patterns (serverless, container, or hybrid), including CI/CD and release management.
- Leverage LangSmith (or OpenTelemetry), or Azure Monitor for end‑to‑end observability and guardrail enforcement
Governance & Quality
- Review and approve both low-code workflows and custom code against established metrics and dashboards to track performance, drift, and cost.
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate use cases into technical designs.
- Mentor an 8n-focused engineer, pairing on key deliverables and reviews.
AI Evangelism & Innovation
- Represent Ultimo’s AI vision internally, help the AI Transformation team run workshops, or initiate initiatives that help transform the organization into an AI-first organization.
- Identify new ideas/technologies that can help us in our purpose and share them with the rest of the team and the organization.
- At least 4 years of professional Python development experience
- Demonstrated history of taking AI/ML projects from prototype to production
- Familiarity with modern deployment patterns (e.g., serverless, containers, managed services)
- Experience integrating with LLM APIs, MCP, building multi-step workflows, and with AI Frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, etc.)
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, configuration management)
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences
Nice to have:
- Experience with forecasting or predictive analytics frameworks, cloud-native ML platforms
