Supports the Investor Services Manager with fund client administration, investor KYC, AML and AEOI due diligence, FATCA/CRS reporting, onboarding, billing, investor register maintenance, transaction inquiries, dealing confirmations, reports, and statements. The role requires coordination with fund managers and investors across Cayman Islands, Singapore, and Hong Kong requirements, with strong Mandarin and English communication, attention to detail, and client service skills.
Purpose of the Role
Assisting the Manager in Investor Services team in all aspects of the administration and management of the provision of Investor KYC and Registrar & Transfer Agency Services. The successful candidate will need to efficiently support the Manager in managing a portfolio of investment fund clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting investor KYC in accordance with the AML regime of the Cayman Islands, Singapore and Hong Kong;
- Conducting AEOI due diligence on investors to identify the tax residency of each investor and to determine whether the interest held by that investor constitutes a “reportable account” under the tax transparency rules;
- Prepare FATCA/CRS files and arrange respective reporting prior to the applicable deadlines;
- Liaise with fund managers, investor queries on investor KYC, AEOI and transactions enquires;
- Assisting with client on-boarding procedures and billing management;
- Assisting with any ad hoc requests from the Manager as required;
- Maintains and updates investor register and static data in a timely manner;
- Prepare and issue dealing confirmations, investor reports and statements to clients/investors in a timely manner.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2-3 years’ experience working in fund administrator, investor services or transfer agency preferred
- Good knowledge in the AML and AEOI laws and requirements of the Cayman Islands. Experience administering Cayman private equity and/or hedge fund vehicles an advantage
- Excellent academic background and considerable practical experience, supported by a relevant professional qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both Mandarin and English
- Commitment to high standards of client service based on understanding needs and delivering solutions
