- Coordinate with Japan Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider on local execution processes, including WHT documentation, Japan tax office communications, Japan Citibank-related paper documentation, and physical submissions
- Review and validate Japan statutory financial information and ensure alignment between IFRS and local GAAP reporting where required
- Interpret feedback or notices from Japan tax authorities and external service providers, assess impact, and coordinate follow-up actions internally
- Prepare and support consolidated APAC reporting during close cycles, statutory filings and related audit requirements for designated APAC entities as needed
- Perform variance analysis and follow up on key issues identified across Japan and APAC reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual dependencies, and improve coordination efficiency
- Participate in regional and global calls as required (night calls expected at not more than 5% of work time depending on close cycles and projects)
- Contribute to special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analyses as assigned
Who You Are
- Minimum 5+ years related accounting operations experience within a multinational company, ideally in a technology or fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS and exposure to local statutory reporting
- Experience coordinating with external service providers such as audit firms, tax agents, BPO providers
- Business-level Japanese (spoken and written) and strong professional English communication skills are required
- Technically proficient with ERP systems and MS Office including advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills across all levels
- Comfortable managing cross-functional and external stakeholder coordination and navigating cross-cultural communication
- Thrive in lean teams, take ownership of your work, and remain adaptable in evolving environments
Where You'll Be
