Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the segment strategy in the Data Center and Semiconductor segments that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.

The work model for the role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Variable Speed Drives/MODP/Sales in Singapore. Main stakeholders are Customers, Consultants, Owners & Project Developers, Internal Sales Team, Area and Regional Sales Managers and Local Division Management.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the segment business plan and Statement of Work growth actions in the Data Center and Semiconductor market segments.

  • Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.

  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer.

  • Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented.

Qualifications for the role

  • You have a demonstrated track record in prospecting and closing sales, sales process management, and customer engagement.

  • You are immersed in working with highly competitive and yet collaborative team and the data center and semiconductor market.

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in variable speed drives/electrical power distribution, control market.

  • You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around {energy efficiency/electrification/sustainability} and {interpersonal skills, ability to engage stakeholders and understand business dynamics to strategize accordingly}

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

  • You are at ease communicating in {English. Additional languages spoke in Singapore like Mandarin, Tamil and/or Malay will be beneficial}

  • You hold current {Class 3} valid in {Singapore} and hold either Singapore citizenship or Singapore PR.
