We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Team Lead to lead a newly formed team of Small Business Specialists who support our Small Business (SMB) customers in the Asia region.
Our SMB team helps our customers get the most out of Xero for their businesses. They’re instrumental in driving successful sales conversions, smooth customer onboarding, boosting product adoption, and ensuring our users feel confident and empowered to make the most of Xero’s features.
As the Sales Team Lead, you’ll lead an engaged, motivated team and oversee day-to-day operations. With a human-first approach and a sharp commercial mindset, you’ll inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and results.
What you'll do
- Lead the team by driving performance, creating a positive culture, and fostering an inspiring work environment
- Spend time coaching the team on best practices to effectively sell Xero to small businesses and grow our users
- Monitor team progress, provide feedback, troubleshooting and ensure everyone follows best practices for repeatable success
- Get hands-on in sales execution and relationship management with a focus on creating long-term customer value in our Asia region
- Manage sales planning, forecasting, and execution to build healthy sales processes and pipelines
- Ensure proper CRM practices with clean data on leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with your manager and global teams to roll out global initiatives while adapting to regional needs
- Handle customer escalations and work with the team on solutions
- Contribute to and help shape the go-to-market strategy for Asia
- Build effective relationships and collaborate and influence teams and individuals that support the Sales team
- Represent Xero at events to build brand awareness and generate leads for the team
- Work closely with the Head of Sales for Asia to support and execute initiatives.
What you'll bring with you
- Prior experience in a Team Lead role with a successful track record in driving results and managing a team
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Successful track record of planning and rolling out go-to-market strategies
- Problem solving skills and confident in making decisions with a balance of data, judgement and consideration of team input
- Good emotional intelligence to support and motivate your team
- Team player who can build relationships, influence and collaborate cross-functionally
- Adaptable mindset and experience working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Market knowledge in SaaS and experience in high-growth environments in Asia (plus).
