The Business Need
The Index and Analytics (I&A) business within the London Stock Exchange Group features industry leading brands and products such as the FTSE global equity indexes and Russell US market indexes and FTSE Fixed Income indexes as well as alternatives asset class indexes in Real Estate and Infrastructure. We develop and market industry defining offerings with the likes of ICB and SEDOL, ESG, Green Revenue Data and other Sustainable investment tools. FTSE Russell boast the largest asset tracking our indexes with over 20T USD of AUM and the largest index provider globally by AUM. This role is to develop new business within the South Asia Buy-Side.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
As a member of the APAC Sales Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for new business development with both clients and prospects and deepening existing relationships whilst delivering on FTSE Russell and LSEG’s strategic objectives. Based in Singapore, with coverage across South Asia, the individual will be responsible for FTSE Russell’s Institutional Buy-Side relationships, including Asset Managers, Fund Administrators & Custodians. We are seeking an experienced sales specialist who is familiar with the design and attributes of index solutions used by asset managers in various jurisdictions across the region.
You will engage in all facets of the sales cycle—from market analysis and prospecting to account management and senior-level relationship building. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organisation, offering the opportunity to shape the future of our Index product strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across FTSE Russell’s Global Index Sales, Product, Research, and Marketing teams to deliver tailored, client-centric solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Business Development:
Build relationships with key stakeholders within the buy-side ecosystem.
Identify client requirements and position FTSE Russell as a strategic partner to achieve investment goals.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Product Expertise:
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our products, including equity, fixed income, ESG, and custom indexes.
Developing client centric solutions to maximise penetration of products across a variety of asset classes and customer segments.
Collaborate with regional teams to share insights, align strategies, and support cross-regional opportunities.
Reporting and Analysis:
Establish customer feedback loop, assuring a two-way dialogue for new product generation and thought leadership.
Track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and client feedback using CRM tools.
Minimum Requirements
At least 4-5 years of experience in sales / new business development within the financial services industry
Strong understanding of investment management process and ecosystem (Asset owner, buy side, custodian etc) and across asset classes in the global financial markets (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Solutions-based selling experience
Degree or equivalent
Extensive experience of sales / new business development within the financial services industry.
