Job Description

The S&OP Leader will lead the global strategy around the Sales & Operations process for our LCS Business. This strategy includes order plant selection and support product transfers, capacity and material evaluations. These evaluations will set the initial order/project promise date for delivery performance. You will lead the customer communication processes around S&OP coordination between the assigned ETO teams and ISC. As an individual contributor, the expectation is that you will use management skill. You will also use change management skills to improve performance. These improvements will relate to production planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Supply Forecasting, Capacity Balancing, Delivery Service, and Cumulative Lead time. You will focus on these improvements for the assigned departments. The S&OP Leader will establish capacity, build and shipment plans in multiple global manufacturing locations. Depending on responsible area this will include: Chennai, IN, Singapore, Richland Centre – WI, Monterrey - MX, facilities. Business process performance improvements will promote through working relationships with the department and customers, P&IC teams, Plant Managers, and Master Production Schedulers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work with the plant materials/production organisation to plan the monthly planning review process to establish appropriate capacity levels and create the supply plan. Measure available capacity vs. load at a global BU level and make capacity recommendations.

  • Work with specific customers, team leaders, and sales to plan the month Demand planning review process to establish appropriate orders forecasting.

  • Coordinate and facilitate Sales, Customers and Operations Process; identify gaps in Supply and Demand to establish a single agreement forecast.

  • Establish ownership of the unscheduled backlog and coordinate plant assignment. Maintain the plant capability matrix supporting plant assignment with engineering and plant teams.

  • Lead improvements in flexibility/capability to improve overall loading to maximise plant capacity use.

  • Tracking, reporting the relevant performance measures; suggest and implement improvement opportunities.

  • Manage the output of the S&OP for the purposes of develop and managing detailed component inventory forecasting; Lead creation of monthly supply forecasts for main suppliers.

  • Publish order lead times

  • Participate in roll out of Advanced Planning System for ETO Demand Planning

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years progressive experience in Materials, Manufacturing Operations, Purchasing, or other Supply Chain function.

  • Data Analytical Skills

  • Management Skills

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Master's Degree, or other related advanced degree or certification.

  • APICS Certification CPIM/CSCP

  • SAP Experience Preferred (WM, PP, MM)

  • Model/Optimization Skills

  • Experience in ETO manufacturing environment

  • Customer-facing interactions
