Reuters is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding annual sales goals to join our Reuters family and expand our footprint into Singapore and the APAC region.

As an individual sales contributor, you will be selling across Reuters’ extensive award-winning platforms; digital display, native, mobile, video, account-based marketing, custom content, and event sales. The role is primarily responsible for developing, managing and expanding, Reuters' client base which requires the skilled hand both from a business development and a sales perspective.

This role is working with Reuters Professional which is an agile digital and events publishing business in the heart of the world’s largest news organization. Our mission is to be the premier source of news for global professionals. We combine technology and editorial innovation across Reuters.com to deliver a powerful experience to over 97 million monthly users on the web, mobile and events.

About the Role

As a Sales Manager, you shall be responsible for the following:

  • Consultative approach: Match solutions to clients' business objectives, including development, thought leadership, lead generation, and engagement.
  • Industry knowledge: Stay up-to-date with market trends, current affairs, technological developments, and industry changes.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Conference Production team to establish target audiences and maximize event success.
  • Client engagement: Conduct high-volume meetings with prospective clients and agencies, presenting Reuters and understanding account strategies and challenges.
  • Research and insight: Present research highlighting Reuters' strengths versus competitors, in conjunction with the research team.
  • Proposal development: Develop proposals with the Integrated Marketing team and Digital Sales Planner, aligning advertiser strategies with Content Marketing and Reuters.com offerings.
  • Revenue targets and planning: Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, reporting to the Head of APAC, and develop quarterly plans for target accounts and revenue projections.

About You

As a Sales Manager, you should possess the following:

  • Proven sales success: Track record in selling Event and Content-led solutions internationally.
  • Industry knowledge: Passion for news and journalism, with a strong understanding of the online advertising market and future trends.
  • Client relationships: Existing relationships with agencies and direct clients, with a track record of selling large-value deals.
  • Presentation skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and articulately in meetings.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in a collaborative environment with Sales, Editorial, Product, and Design teams.
  • Communication and organization: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivation and analytical skills: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical, with the ability to work independently and deliver on goals with minimal supervision.
