This position is within our payments team, a fast growing part of our organization which offers businesses a suite of payments and collections products in one easy-to-use digital platform. These no-code solutions simplify the lives of business owners, by improving cash flow management, unlocking cost savings and helping businesses save time, through automation of finance processes.

What you will do:

  • Acquire new SME customers and drive revenue growth through consistent prospecting, qualification and conversion.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery to product demonstration, negotiation, onboarding and activation.
  • Prospect actively through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, referrals and other channels to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Maintain a high level of daily sales activity and follow-up discipline, with clear ownership of your pipeline and targets.
  • Re-engage dormant, lost or previously rejected prospects to uncover new opportunities and maximise revenue potential.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and use data to understand conversion trends, customer behaviour and reasons for lost opportunities or churn.
  • Develop strong knowledge of CardUp's products and value propositions to confidently address customer needs, questions and objections.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and expand customer usage across CardUp's payment and collection solutions.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, Risk and Compliance to improve conversion and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop a strong understanding of CardUp's risk and compliance requirements and ensure they are consistently adhered to.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Degree in any discipline.
  • An extensive SME network & In-depth understanding of selected SME industries.
  • 1–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within Payments, FinTech, SaaS, financial services or another fast-paced technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in new business development and outbound prospecting, including cold calling and high-volume customer outreach.
  • A proven ability to qualify opportunities, manage a sales pipeline and convert prospects into customers.
  • Experience selling to SMEs, with an understanding of their business needs, cash flow challenges and decision-making processes.
  • Target-driven, resilient and persistent, with the motivation to consistently pursue new opportunities and achieve sales goals.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to understand customer needs and communicate a compelling value proposition.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, independent and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and requirements can evolve quickly.
  • Strong integrity, ownership and commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
