The Reservations Executive manages room inventory, processes reservations, and maximizes room sales while ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with policies.
Reporting to the Assistant Reservations Manager, the Reservations Executive accurately records and processes reservations while maximizing room sales through proactive selling and up-selling. The role handles all reservation requests via telephone, email, fax, and internet efficiently and courteously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all room inventory and control system close-outs to optimize occupancy, average rate, and revenue
- Review daily reservation accuracy, including rate compliance by segment and source, for previous day bookings and next day arrivals
- Apply and control no-show and late cancellation charges to minimize revenue loss
- Load and tag internal package breakdowns on reservations in coordination with the finance department
- Monitor reservation pick-up trends for upcoming months to support forecasting
- Ensure all contracted sellable rates are loaded in reservation systems for easy access
- Review availability on EzRMS, SynXis, OCM, and PMS to maintain sufficient inventory for high-yield segments
- Enforce the property’s compliance with the Best Rate Guarantee policy
- Follow internal credit policies to manage financial risk
- Perform additional assigned tasks to support the Reservations team
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum O levels or Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar reservations role
- Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, grooming, and attitude
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Proficiency in Opera PMS (imperative)
