Research Associate in “Specialist in theoretical quantum computing using cold atoms

The Nanyang Quantum Solutions team led by Prof. Marek Gluza at NTU Singapore is seeking a new member to propose new quantum algorithmic solutions based on Riemannian geometry.

With Prof. Marek Gluza at NTU Singapore who is eager to debate with you whether double-bracket quantum algorithms or a different approach are the right one when executing on Helios or Heron. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide theoretical modelling of proof of principle protocols in experiments using cold atoms of the National Quantum Processor Initiative as part of Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy.

  • Propose new quantum protocols and build experimental capacity for realizing them.

  • Provide extensive analysis and data visualization guiding experimental realization.

  • Bridge between theory and experiments; serve experimentalists by providing theoretical physics support.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field

  • At least 1 years of relevant experiences in research on quantum algorithms, e.g. final year project or industry experience in relevant field

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in programming and strong Github portfolio

  • Ability to work independently, develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details, excellent organizational and time management skills.
