Research Associate (Psychology/Sociology/Education)
The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (CRADLE@NTU) seeks applicants with a Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or or related field from University of good standing for a Research Associate Position.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of research project on vertical leadership development for school leadership professional development
Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from schools and project collaborators.
Conduct literature reviews and preparing policy reports for stakeholders.
Preparation and updating of ethics documents to Institutional Review Board.
Participant recruitment.
Data collection through interviews over three time-points, together with PI and research team.
Data collection through field observations and document analysis, together with PI and research team.
Perform data analysis and manage data analysis pipelines under supervision of PI and contracting school division.
Perform research-related administrative work, such as purchase of material/equipment for research.
Carry any other duties as required by Principal Investigator
Job Requirements:
Masters in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field from University of good standing.
Possess excellent communication skills with good command of the English language to perform literature reviews and write progress reports.
Self-motivator, able to work independently to collect data, analyse data, and communicate findings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Nvivo software.
Willing to travel to school sites for data collection.
Excellent organizational skills and able to work within tight deadlines.
Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.
Prior experience with qualitative research methods
Prior teaching experience at MOE schools is a bonus.
Prior experience with academic publication processes
Good knowledge of qualitative research methods, and knowledge/appreciation for leadership and management theories.
