Project Title: Profiling Academic Trajectories and Heterogeneity of Low-Progress Learners for Enhancing Learning Support (PATHS)

Project Introduction: The PATHS study is a Ministry of Education (MOE)-funded longitudinal investigation tracking 500–600 Primary 1 students enrolled in the Learning Support Programme (LSP) and/or Learning Support for Mathematics (LSM) across 20+ Singapore primary schools. Using person-centred analytic models, the study identifies heterogeneous learner subgroups across cognitive, literacy, mathematical, and socio-emotional domains, and examines how these profiles evolve and predict academic outcomes. • Administer psychoeducational assessments and experimental tasks one-to-one with students

  • Distribute, collect, and track parent and teacher questionnaires

  • Maintain research records; support data entry, cleaning, and quality checking

  • Assist with ethics documentation, literature searches, research reports, and stakeholder materials

  • Train and coordinate part-time student research assistants during data collection

  • Perform administrative and procurement tasks as required by the Principal Investigator

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Sociology, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good command of spoken and written English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

  • Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines; willing to travel to school sites

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)

Preferred:

  • Prior experience administering psychometric or psychoeducational assessments to children

  • Experience conducting school-based research or working with young children (Primary 1–3 level)
