We are looking for a Research Assistant to undertake the responsibilities towards the development of new photopolymers and biomaterials.
Key Responsibilities:
RA (polymer chemist) will be hired to manage the development of novel bioadhesives formulations and work with laboratory personnel towards the objectives listed within the relevant grant funding.
Synthesis and characterization of functional polyacrylate composites using novel photoinitiator chemistry.
Project management with ability to generate technical reports, journal papers, and liase with industrial collaborators.
Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers.
Assist or Produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Materials-, Organic- or Polymer Chemistry from an internationally accredited institution.
Minimum one year of industrial or academic research experience in polymer research, materials science, or adhesives.
Skills relating to photochemistry, photoinitiators, free radical polymerization, vat polymerization.
Familiar with polymer characterization techniques such as SEC, XPS, NMR, FTIR
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives.
Evidence of project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong record of scientific publications in high impact academic journals.
