Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations. The school is seeking a Project Officer to manage office administration, scheduling, meetings and events. This Project Officer will additionally play a role in supporting academic research. This includes conducting literature reviews, co-writing academic papers, analysing data, and participating in research teams to advance research objectives. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, conscientious and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate executive schedules, appointments and events.

  • Organise and document minutes of meetings, meeting materials and follow-up on action plans.

  • Manage office operations, budget and expenses

  • Oversee travel arrangements, itineraries and claims.

  • Prepare, edit and file communication materials, including presentations, emails and documents.

  • Maintain physical and digital files with care for data security and confidentiality.

  • Support academic research, including literature review, data collection, data analyses, and the authoring of research papers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication studies or related social science fields

  • Strong organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software

  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve efficiently

  • Skilled in social science research. Knowledge of advanced statistical tests (e.g. moderation/mediation, hierarchical regression etc.) will be advantageous

  • A team player with effective stakeholder management and time management skills

  • Past experience in a project officer or research assistant role preferred
