As a key player in OCBC's Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) team, you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with some of the region's most influential non-bank financial institutions and provide financial solutions and advisory for clients in the following segments: Insurance, Securities Brokers, Finance/Leasing Companies, Exchanges, Regulated Funds (including private capital), Payment Service Providers, Fintech. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive business growth. It's a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of sales acumen, industry knowledge, and interpersonal skills.

  • Cash accounts opening & liquidity management solutions

  • Digital payments & collections

  • Treasury solutions with focus on FX, fixed income, equities, interest rates, structured notes and other derivatives

  • Credit facilities (bilateral/syndicated/club)

  • Public markets (debt & equity) capital raising

  • Banker’s guarantee & Standby letter of credit

  • Strategic advisory

The NBFI team seeks to position OCBC as the preferred banking partner for NBFIs in Asia through high quality client service and engagement through OCBC’s regional platform.
How it works

To excel in this role, you'll need to develop a deep understanding of the financial landscape, including the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities. You'll leverage this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and provide innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs. Your ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders will be essential to your success.
What you do

1. Coverage support responsibility over an assigned portfolio of Global Funds clients.
2. Regular management, monitoring of client relationships & supporting day-to-day servicing issues resolution.
3. Manage (a) clients’ on-boarding in accordance with OCBC’s AML and regulatory requirements, (b) accounts opening based on operational guidelines, and (c) treasury / FX onboarding & trading.  To handle subsequent documentation updates as part of client servicing.
4. Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures – customer due diligence, account and periodic transaction reviews, data quality.
5. Assist team leads in identifying cross selling opportunities and new revenue streams from existing clients.
6. Perform annual review on fund managers in portfolio to ensure managers remains licensed and regulated.

Who you are

- A degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Banking or Economics
- At least 2-3 years of experience in sales or relationship management, preferably in the financial institutions space
- Strong industry knowledge, including a deep understanding of the financial institutions landscape and the latest trends and challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers and engage stakeholders
- Possess good analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced sales environment

- A confident, customer focused and effective team player who is independent and proactive in supporting peers and team.

- Highly motivated self-starter who is eager to learn

- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
