Be an Early Applicant
Undergraduate interns will research technologies for efficient big data exploration, then design and build visualization or data-processing components for a Jupyter- and Spark-based analytical platform. The project can emphasize modern frontend development or data science, with opportunities to test solutions at scale.
Duration: 2 - 4 Months

We are building an exploratory platform for data analysts and are looking for interns to contribute to the development and implementation of analytical and visualization components. Our aim is to build a user-friendly platform for analysts conducting data exploration to easily leverage on data science and models to extract insights.
The platform is based on the latest big data technologies like Spark and our user interface is powered by Jupyter.
The successful intern will get the opportunity to test their creations at scale and gain valuable experience working on a real-world application.
This project is suitable for both those interested on modern frontend development and data science. The specific scope can be tweaked accordingly.
Scope & Deliverables
- Research into techniques or technologies to facilitate efficient data exploration and analysis
- Design and build visualization and/or processing components to support data exploration and analysis
Prerequisites/Skills Required
- Self-motivated, independent and willing to learn
- Experience with UI/UX
- Experience with programming/scripting in one of the following languages preferred: Scala, Python
- Experience with following platform/frameworks: Jupyter, Spark
