We are now looking for Regulation and Std. Senior Manager in Japan CTO office. The team is small, and members need to be an individual contributor who can directly contact and work with the whole Ericsson, customers, government, and partners. The first responsibility of this role is to be the lead of regulation and standardization in Japan. The second responsibility is to contribute to Ericsson Japan to be a key player in Japan society, e.g. leading activities in forums, and driving partnership with Japanese companies. The third responsibility is to be a part of global team in Ericsson, e.g. the role of ITU-R WP 5D Japanese delegation and a member of the internal spectrum team. The purpose and mission are to empower a committed, sustainable, and connected world - enabling the full value of connectivity for service providers through Technology Leadership. The unit shall sharpen Ericsson's competitiveness in Technology Leadership through World-leading Research, Lead-customer engagements and Eco-system partnerships to ensure a strong industry position for Ericsson and our technology.

What you will do:
- Working as a member of Ericsson Japan CTO office, and driving the Ericsson's activities in standardization, regulation, and partnership in Japan to achieve our leadership.
- Ensuring that the "right" spectrum is "identified" to be possible to be used by the right technology, harmonized across the different regions/countries of the world.
- Ensuring that the conditions and criteria for co-existence between technologies in-band and out-band is favorable for Ericsson's products
- Ensuring that technology regulations are harmonized across the globe and favorable for Ericsson's products, e.g. radio, safety and security regulations
- Securing Ericsson's participation and lobbying for key standardization and regulatory organizations dealing with Spectrum and/or Technology Regulations in Japan as well as across the globe
- You will also be a part of the Standard and Industry Initiatives leadership team responsible for driving all standardization activities and collaborating with the other units of Group Function Technology
The skills you bring:
- Knowledge and understanding on (telecom and ICT) regulations and standardizations.
- Knowledge and understanding on (telecom and ICT) technologies, markets, and their trends.
- Comprehensive understanding of the customer's and competitor's business.
- 10+ years of experience in ICT industry with a proven track record in standards or regulatory-related projects and development (e.g. Experience in ITU-R and/or 3GPP).
- Skills and experience in engaging in and negotiating with senior executives, and other senior leaders in Eircsson, Customers, Competitors, Other companies and Governments.
- Ability to proactively reach out not only to the MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) but also to other ministries and agencies, as well as companies outside the telecommunications industry, with telecommunications as the core business.
- Skills to drive the discussions to output conclusions.
- Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills (both in Japanese and English).
- Business level Japanese language skill Skills and motivations to learn new technologies by self.
- Supervising and responding to challenges and changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Great teammate with the ability to partner cross-Ericsson.
