About this role

Your team

Corporate Security supports the safety and resilience of BlackRock’s operations. This role is part of the global Corporate Security organization and is responsible for security operations across Asia-Pacific (APAC), excluding India, with a focus on technical security, project management, and physical security operations.

Your role and impact

As Regional Security Manager, you will lead day-to-day security operations across APAC, excluding India, and report to the Global Head of Corporate Security in New York City. You will help maintain consistent security standards across the region, provide leadership during incidents and emergencies, support travel and event security, and oversee technical security and capital-project delivery. The role requires close partnership with internal stakeholders, vendors, government and law enforcement contacts, and regional security colleagues.

Your responsibilities

  • Oversee physical security operations across APAC, excluding India, conducting site assessments, driving corrective actions, and maintaining comprehensive site security profiles.
  • Strengthen regional security governance by partnering with site stakeholders, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and promoting consistent understanding and application of security policies and processes.
  • Lead and support regional incident and emergency response, including investigations and vendor coordination, while maintaining effective relationships with government and law enforcement stakeholders.
  • Support travel and event security across APAC through risk assessments, employee training, field-security support, and security planning for corporate events.
  • Develop regional security metrics, reporting and dashboards, and partner with vendors to strengthen service-level agreement (SLA) performance and operational delivery.
  • Lead operational delivery of the APAC Technical Security program and contribute to capital projects, coordinating security design, installation, programming and testing while advancing security infrastructure and technology.
  • Lead and develop embedded technical and project resources and deliver regional initiatives spanning technical security, physical security and vendor management.

Your experience

  • Substantial security management experience, with strong knowledge of the APAC geopolitical landscape and experience operating in technical and physical security environments; financial services experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management capability and expertise in physical security solutions and networked Electronic Access Control Systems, with knowledge of business continuity management, health and safety, and life-safety processes.
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking and judgment skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and manage critical issues.
  • Ability to use performance metrics to identify improvement and cost-saving opportunities while effectively prioritizing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships across organizational levels and collaborate effectively across functions and regions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation or similar credentials are advantageous, along with relevant health and safety or security systems integration certifications.
  • Ability to travel and provide coverage outside standard business hours when urgent security situations require support.
