Job Summary

Thales is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Executive to join our Cyber Security Products (CSP) team, with a dedicated focus on expanding revenue within the Singapore Homeland Security and broader Public Sector. The ideal candidate will be a strategic "hunter" and a skilled "farmer," responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities while nurturing long-term strategic initiatives and partnerships with key government agencies.

This role requires a deep understanding of the complex public sector procurement landscape in Singapore and a proven ability to build trusted relationships at all levels, from technical practitioners to senior-level decision-makers. The Account Executive will be a key driver of Thales’ mission to protect the digital assets of national and critical infrastructure, leveraging our market-leading portfolio of data protection, digital identity, and cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth & Account Management:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets within the Singapore government.

    • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned accounts, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

    • Identify, cultivate, and formalize relationships with key government officials, procurement officers, and operational stakeholders across agencies such as the Home Team (MHA), MINDEF, and GovTech, to drive both short-term sales and long-term, multi-year initiatives.

  • Strategic Business Development:

    • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding the evolving missions, challenges, and long-term digital transformation goals of Singapore's public sector, including the Smart Nation initiative.

    • Lead the development of strategic account plans that align Thales’ capabilities with the customer’s long-term vision, focusing on "farming" future opportunities beyond immediate contracts.

    • Leverage knowledge of local procurement processes and regulatory requirements to position Thales as a strategic partner.

  • Solution Selling & Collaboration:

    • Work in close collaboration with a cross-functional team, including Sales Engineers, Product Managers, and Legal/Contracts specialists, to define and present compelling, value-based solutions.

    • Respond to complex RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information), ensuring a high-quality and compliant submission that highlights Thales's unique value proposition.

    • Conduct technical and business presentations and demonstrations to articulate how Thales’ CSP portfolio can address critical data protection, digital identity, and cybersecurity challenges.

  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate, regular sales forecasts and reports to management.

    • Gather and provide market and competitive intelligence, and feedback customer requirements to product and marketing teams to inform future product development.

    • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to represent Thales and build a professional network.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Technology, or similar) or equivalent professional experience.

  • A minimum of [e.g., 5-7] years of proven, successful experience in enterprise technology solution sales, with a significant portion dedicated to the Public Sector or Defense/Homeland Security markets in Singapore.

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing complex, high-value deals in a highly competitive environment.

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, data protection regulations, and the challenges facing government and critical infrastructure.

  • Proven ability to navigate and influence large, complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • Experience selling solutions such as data encryption, access management, digital identity, biometrics, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

  • Knowledge of the local public sector landscape and a clear understanding of the key agencies and their missions.

  • A proactive, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building new business.

  • Experience with government contract vehicles and procurement frameworks in Singapore.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with an ability to manage and overcome commercial and contractual obstacles.
