Job Description

Job Summary:

The Regional Program Manager – Standards & Regulations role is justified by the growing complexity, geographic breadth, and regulatory risk associated with global product compliance and standards engagement. Rockwell Automation operates in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment where international, regional, and national standards increasingly influence product design, market access, and lifecycle obligations. This role ensures Consistency and alignment in how standards and regulatory requirements are interpreted and applied across geographies and product portfolios.

Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of an internal project into a finished state. Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal customer or department personnel. Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. In this role, direct people-management responsibility required. You will report to Sr. Manager, Technology Standards & Conformity and will be based in Singapore. You will be responsible for staff in China and coverage of the APAC region.

Your Responsibilities:

Standards & Regulatory Program Leadership

  • Lead global programs related to standards and regulatory conformity, ensuring alignment across regions and product lines.
  • Monitor emerging and evolving standards and regulations relevant to Rockwell Automation products and technologies.
  • Assess potential business and technical impacts of regulatory changes and communicate implications to stakeholders.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a central point of coordination between TS&C, engineering, product management, and regional compliance teams.
  • Support integration of standards and regulatory requirements into product development, lifecycle management, and market access processes.
  • Facilitate consistent interpretation and application of standards across regions.

External Engagement

  • Represent Rockwell Automation in standards development organizations, regulatory working groups, and industry forums as required.
  • Coordinate company positions on standards proposals and regulatory consultations.

Program Governance and Oversight

  • Provide direction and oversight to other Program Managers within Standards & Regulations, including geographically distributed team members.
  • Establish program priorities, milestones, and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Escalate risks, conflicts, and decision points to TS&C leadership as appropriate.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare clear, decision‑ready summaries for leadership on regulatory trends, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Act as a subject‑matter resource for standards and regulatory questions across the organization.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working with IEC/ISO standards, with exposure to or participation in regional standards activities within the APAC region.
  • Prior experience in the industrial automation and/or manufacturing domain.
