Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Manager, Regional Marketing in our Specialty Diagnostics Group. You'll guide strategic customer-focused marketing initiatives that directly impact healthcare outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to enhance brand awareness, business growth, and customer retention. You'll direct the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies, utilizing advanced technologies and data-driven insights to enhance customer engagement. Working with our diagnostic assays and instruments, you'll contribute to improving the diagnosis and management of blood cancers and immune system disorders, making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
The Regional Marketing Manager, APMEA is responsible for executing regional and country marketing plans that accelerate customer adoption, commercial growth, and brand presence for the Protein Diagnostics (PDX) portfolio across ANZ, APAC, Japan, Middle East and Africa. This role serves as the key partner between Commercial Director and Global Marketing, responsible for adapting global campaigns, content, and market growth initiatives to local market dynamics, healthcare systems, reimbursement environments, regulatory frameworks, and customer needs.
The position partners closely with Global Marketing, Sales, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Commercial Excellence, and regional stakeholders to drive demand generation, field activation, customer engagement, and market expansion initiatives.
Scope & Impact
The Regional Marketing Manager directly influences regional commercial growth, customer adoption, market penetration, and brand positioning in APMEA. This role contributes to demand generation, pipeline growth, regional brand awareness, and effective localisation of global initiatives, with a mix of product management and downstream marketing responsibilities.
This role is intended for an experienced professional contributor who independently manages complex regional marketing initiatives, applies advanced commercial and market knowledge, and provides recommendations that inform regional strategy and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute portfolio and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives, including market assessment, segmentation, targeting, positioning, pricing, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert (SME) for monoclonal gammopathy, immunodeficiency and complement disease states and the product portfolio, providing strategic guidance and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with channel partners to drive strategies growing market share and executing demand generation activities.
- Gather, analyse, and communicate Voice of Customer (VOC), market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, inform product development, and strengthen portfolio strategy.
- Develop business cases, product requirements, revenue forecasts, and evidence-generation plans in collaboration with commercial teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of laboratory and healthcare professional (HCP) customer segments, including clinical workflows, purchasing behaviours, market trends, unmet needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Translate new scientific evidence, clinical data, and portfolio changes into compelling customer-focused messaging and content tailored to laboratory and HCP audiences.
- Partner closely with Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM), Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA), Regional Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Operations, R&D, and external agencies to develop and execute integrated marketing initiatives.
- Create and deliver effective product and disease-state training programs for sales teams and channel partners, ensuring consistent product knowledge and messaging across regions.
- Support regional sales teams through customer interactions, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, scientific meetings, product presentations, and industry conferences.
- Collaborate with regional and commercial teams to develop customer-facing tools, promotional materials, digital campaigns, and sales enablement resources that support commercialization objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs, product launches, and commercial initiatives; monitor performance metrics and recommend actions to optimize results.
- Track portfolio performance, market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to identify risks and opportunities and drive continuous improvement of product and marketing strategies.
Keys to Success:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Clinical Diagnostics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
- 8+ years in global or regional marketing, market development, product marketing, or similar roles within diagnostics, medical device, or healthcare
- Experience working across APAC, Middle East or international markets preferred
- Experience supporting multichannel marketing and demand generation initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Experience localising global campaigns, content, and programs to regional market needs
